Real America’s Voice (RAV) launched RAVPool.org on Monday, a free platform that gives the public and news organizations access to the presidential pool camera feed, real-time pool notes, the President’s daily schedule, and White House guidance.
Parker Sigg, vice president of RAV, announced the launch, describing it as the latest expansion of the network’s White House coverage.
“We are pleased to give the American people — and every news organization — full, unfiltered access to the White House pool feed,” Sigg said in a statement. “Gone are the days when CNN and the rest of the legacy media decide what the public sees of their President, when they see it, or whether they see it at all. This White House embraces New Media and we are delivering for the American people.”
During an appearance on Steve Bannon’s WarRoom show Monday, Sigg described the organization’s rollout of the new platform as “just another step in the direction of making the legacy media and their chokehold on this system obsolete.”
The new platform will provide live RAV presidential pool video, real-time notes from RAV correspondents, camera operators and producers, the president’s daily schedule and White House guidance, and email alerts. RAV said the feed will be available without charge and without restrictions on use by media organizations or the public.
The launch comes amid a dispute between the White House and several traditional television networks over access to presidential coverage.
On September 21, FOX News Media, ABC News, CBS News, CNN, and NBC News issued a joint statement after the traditional five-network television pool suspended coverage following President Donald Trump’s decision to bar CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from White House grounds.
“The public has a vital interest in receiving accurate, independent information about its government,” the networks said. “No administration should restrict a news organization because it objects to its reporting.”
RAV said that after the traditional pool suspended coverage, it continued providing cameras and presidential coverage and made its feed available to the public.
“When the legacy networks walked off the job, they cut the country off from the President,” RAV spokesman Mark Serrano said. “RAV is not replacing one gatekeeper with another. The gate is gone.”
RAVPool.org is now available to the public.
