Ogles to Introduce Bill Banning Immigration from Muslim, Foreign Adversary Countries

by | Mar 6, 2026

Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN-05) is set to introduce a bill seeking to ban immigration from Muslim and foreign adversary countries.

According to Fox News, Ogles’ bill, called the Halt Immigration from Countries with Inadequate Verification Capabilities Act, would prevent people from Iran, Libya, North Korea, Syria, Venezuela and Yemen from immigrating to America.

Ogles’ bill would modify the Immigration and Nationality Act, which reorganized American immigration law into a single entity.

The bill says these countries are “where the government or prevailing conditions do not allow for reliable verification of the identities, backgrounds, or intentions,” for people attempting to enter America, the outlet said.

The bill would also apply to travelers who have lived in these countries “in the five years before” their attempt to enter America, the outlet noted.

Ogles’ bill would provide an exemption for American citizens who live in these countries.

Representative Randy Fine (R-FL-06) announced on Thursday that he would be cosponsoring this bill.

“Mass Islamic immigration has no place in our country,” Fine said. “We must protect America from jihadists.”

Ogles replied, “Thank you for joining this crusade, no pun intended, [Randy Fine]. You are the powerful Hebrew Hammer!”

Four of these six countries were included in President Donald Trump’s travel ban executive order in 2017: Iran, Libya, Syria, and Yemen.

In a video on X, Ogles called his bill a “Muslim ban.

In explaining his bill this week, he discussed European crime statistics.

He said Muslims in London have committed 40% of the sex crimes. In Rome, Ogles noted 83 percent of street robberies by non-European Union citizens are committed by Muslims.

Ogles also cited people who came from Afghanistan into America, where he said nearly 70 percent of them are on Medicaid.

“They are taking resources away from our children. They take resources away from our veterans. I put American citizens first,” Ogles explained.

He described these countries as exporting the “worst of their society” to America. He said the people these countries send to America are here “to undermine” the country’s society.

Ogles said his bill should be the “first step in a multi-step process” for America to determine who gets to come into the country.

“This is our country. We get to decide who comes in. We get to decide who leaves. I want my country back,” Ogles explained.
