Concessions at New Tennessee Titans Stadium to Be Powered by Amazon’s Checkout-Free RFID Lanes

by | Jan 21, 2026

All concessions at the new Nissan Stadium in Nashville, set to open next year, will be powered by Amazon’s next-generation checkout-free radio frequency identification (RFID) lanes.

The Tennessee Titans announced a partnership earlier this month with Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology, making the new stadium the first NFL venue to offer a fully frictionless concessions experience across its entire footprint.

Under the system, customers inside the stadium will be able to enter and exit a concessions market without waiting in traditional checkout lines.

More than 40 concessions throughout the stadium will operate under the system, representing the largest single-venue deployment of Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology to date.

The Just Walk Out technology eliminates manual scanning by automatically identifying the items taken and charging the customer’s payment method.

The RFID lanes will include in-lane screens that display cart totals in real time, motorized entry and exit gates to manage traffic flow, and dynamic pre-authorization that allows customers to see what they are spending before completing a purchase.

Camera-based computer vision systems track item interactions in real time for items such as packaged foods and beverages, while RFID-based solutions are optimized for items such as merchandise and other goods that are difficult to track visually.

The RFID technology uses tagged items, multiple antennas, and advanced algorithms to detect what a customer is carrying. The technology also includes a built-in loss prevention system to prevent theft of items.

Amazon says each RFID lane can handle up to six transactions per minute, making them five to ten times faster than traditional checkout lines.

Rajiv Chopra, vice president of Just Walk Out at Amazon Web Services, said the Tennessee Titans are “redefining what’s possible in sports food experience by becoming the first NFL stadium to offer Just Walk Out technology” for all concessions.

Andrew McIntrye, Titans Sr. vice president of technology and innovation, added, “By implementing Just Walk Out technology, we’re not only eliminating the frustration of waiting in lines but also unlocking more opportunities for guests to enjoy the unique amenities and energy of the new Nissan Stadium.”
