President Trump Urges Final Day Early Voting Surge for TN-7 Republican Matt Van Epps

by | Nov 25, 2025

President Donald Trump has issued a last-push plea for Republicans to turn out the early vote for Matt Van Epps in the special general election for Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District.

Voters in the 7th District – which includes Stewart, Montgomery, Robertson, Houston, Dickson, Cheatham, Humphreys, Hickman, Perry, Decatur, Wayne, and parts of Davidson, Benton, and Williamson counties – can bank their votes for the special general through Wednesday.

Trump wrote on social media, “I am asking all America First Patriots in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District, who haven’t voted yet, to please GET OUT AND VOTE for MAGA Warrior Matt Van Epps, tomorrow, November 26th, the last day to vote early in person.”

“You can win this Election for Matt! PLEASE VOTE FOR MATT VAN EPPS, who has my Complete and Total Endorsement,” the president added.

All early voting polling locations across the 7th District are open until noon on Wednesday except for the locations located in Benton and Davidson County, which are open until 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., respectively.

Noting this, Trump urged voters to “stay in line” if they are waiting in line to vote when polls are scheduled to close.

“STAY IN LINE, AND THEY MUST LET YOU VOTE,” the president said. “GET OUT AND VOTE FOR MATT VAN EPPS — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”

Trump endorsed Van Epps in the Republican special primary out of a field of 11 candidates at the time.

Van Epps faces Democratic nominee State Rep. Aftyn Behn (D-Nashville), and four Independent candidates – Teresa “Terri” Christie, Bobby Dodge, Robert James Sutherby, and Jon Thorp – in the December 2 special general election for the 7th District.
