by | Nov 14, 2025

Almost 400 new jobs will be available for Tennesseans as companies have announced expansion plans in the state.

This week, South Korean manufacturing company Hyosung HICO announced it was expanding operations at its Memphis facility. The company said it would create 240 new jobs while investing almost $160 million.

Hyosung HICO’s expansion will increase its manufacturing capacity by 50 percent.

Jason Neal, president of Hyosung HICO and senior executive VP of HICO America, said the expansion plans reflect the company’s “shared success with the State of Tennessee and the partnership between our U.S. operations and our headquarters in South Korea.”

“We remain committed to advancing American manufacturing, strengthening our community and honoring the Korea-America collaboration that fuels our success,” Neal added.

Last week, Aqua Membranes and Anatolia Cabinet and Millwork announced they would be bringing their companies to Tennessee.

Aqua Membranes, headquartered in New Mexico, will expand its manufacturing operations by building a facility in Knoxville.

The company will create 94 new jobs and invest $6.6 million.

Craig Beckman, Aqua Membranes’ CEO, said its new “200,000 sq ft facility marks a major milestone for Aqua Membranes.”

“With this expanded capacity, we can meet the demands of large customer contracts and deliver our technology to partners around the world looking for more sustainable, cost-effective water treatment solutions,” he explained.

Anatolia Cabinet and Millwork, a Turkish artificial intelligence company, will create 56 new jobs and invest $9.6 million in Putnam County.

The new facility will be the only cabinet and millwork factory in the state to use an AI-integrated production system.

Temel Islamogu, Anatolia Cabinet and Millwork owner, said the company believes “this project will bring meaningful economic and technological benefits to Baxter and the surrounding communities.”

“We are proud and excited to open this facility in Putnam County and look forward to becoming an active partner in the community’s continued growth and innovation,” he noted.
