Middle Tennessee Business Owner Andy Marshall Running for Williamson County Mayor

by | Oct 29, 2025

Andy Marshall, CEO and owner of A. Marshall Hospitality, a Franklin-based company comprised of family-owned restaurants and hospitality businesses across Alabama and Tennessee, announced his candidacy for Williamson County Mayor this week.

Marshall, a Republican, launched his campaign on Tuesday during an event held at Puckett’s Restaurant in Franklin.

Incumbent Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson previously announced that he will not seek reelection next year.

Marshall said it is his “intent” to continue Anderson’s “great work in ensuring that we have low tax rates, high property values and the critical Triple A bond rating we need to be successful.”

“My campaign will revolve around the things that are most central to me – faith, family and community, and maintaining the incredible quality of life we have here,” Marshall explained in a campaign press release.

Marshall (pictured above) said his priorities for Williamson County, if elected mayor, would be “encouraging smart growth, supporting top-ranked school systems, maintaining fiscal responsibility, continuing community safety, sustaining a pro-business atmosphere, fostering community engagement, and preserving agricultural heritage.”

“We live in a dynamic, thriving community that will continue to experience growth well into the future. I want us to continue to be a welcoming community to all…but in a planned way that embraces both the suburban and rural lifestyles that have made Williamson County special. As a small business owner, I also want to make sure that we continue to offer opportunities for businesses of all sizes to thrive here,” Marshall added.

Marshall began his career in the grocery business in 1988 when he purchased Puckett’s, a small grocery store in the village of Leiper’s Fork and launched a dinner and music program. He went on to form the Williamson County-based A. Marshall Hospitality, which has been recognized multiple times on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest growing companies.

Furthermore, Marshall, who resides in College Grove, currently serves on the boards of the Williamson County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Nashville Predators Foundation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central TN, the Williamson County Fair, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Tennessee Hospitality Association Education Foundation, the Tennessee Tourism Committee, and the Nashville State Community College.

He also has experience serving as president of the Downtown Franklin Association, on the board of the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, and as a founding board member of the Franklin Theatre.

Marshall joins Tennessee healthcare executive and former Williamson County commissioner Todd Kaestner; Williamson County Commissioner Mary Smith; and former State Rep. Brandon Ogles in seeking the Republican nomination for Williamson County mayor.

The general election for Williamson County mayor will be held on August 6, 2026. The Republican primary is scheduled for May 5.
