Latinos for Tennessee PAC Endorses Matt Van Epps for TN-7 Seat

by | Oct 14, 2025

Latinos for Tennessee PAC, the state’s only Hispanic conservative political organization, endorsed Matt Van Epps’ campaign for Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District.

Pointing to Van Epps’ victory in last week’s Republican primary and his support from President Donald Trump, Raul Lopez, the PAC’s co-founder and board chairman, and Tommy Vallejos, the PAC’s executive director and co-founder, said it is “important that conservatives unite behind Matt Van Epps.”

“President Trump needs strong conservative support in Congress, and Matt Van Epps’ professional experience, including his many years as a decorated Army helicopter pilot, is exactly the type of leadership the people of Tennessee’s 7th congressional district need,” Lopez and Vallejos said in a statement.

“We wish Matt Van Epps well in the general election and look forward to promoting conservative values to Tennessee’s growing Latino community – which prioritizes faith, family and freedom. Matt Van Epps has our total endorsement as we fight to keep the district red against a radical socialist,” they added.

Van Epps said he was “grateful” for the PAC’s endorsement, adding, “We’re ready to keep this seat red come December 2nd.”

The PAC’s endorsement of Van Epps on Tuesday comes one week after he won the Republican primary for the 7th District with 19,001 votes.

Van Epps will now face Democratic nominee State Representative Aftyn Behn (D-Nashville) in the December 2 general election.

Voters have until November 3 to register to vote in the special general election.

Early voting for the December 2 general election will take place from November 12 to November 26. The final day for voters to request an absentee ballot for the special general election is November 22.
