Illegal Alien from Guatemala Convicted of Sexual Assault Arrested in Nashville, DHS Announces

by | Oct 30, 2025

An illegal alien from Guatemala who has been convicted of sexual assault was arrested in Davidson County this week, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced.

Carlos Eduardo Garcia-Alarcon, the convicted sexual predator arrested in Davidson County, was among a list of the “worst of the worst” criminal illegal aliens recently arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.

“These are the types of predators ICE is taking off of America’s streets every single day. DHS will stop at nothing to make America safe again and remove these violent illegal offenders from our streets,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

“Nothing—not even the Democrats’ government shutdown—will slow us down from arresting the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens,” McLaughlin added.

Garcia-Alarcon’s arrest was highlighted by Tennessee U.S. Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN-05), who credited Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s sanctuary policies for Music City being a hotspot for illegal aliens.

“Homeland Security just confirmed another ILLEGAL ALIEN SEXUAL PREDATOR was apprehended by ICE patriots in Freddie O’Connell’s Nashville,” Ogles wrote in an X post.

“Davidson County is a hotspot for illegal alien predators. That is UNACCEPTABLE. Thank you, [DHS], for sending him back to Guatemala. Now it’s time to hold Freddie accountable for his many CRIMES helping cartels set up shop in TN05,” Ogles added.

As of Thursday evening, recent Davidson County Sheriff’s Office bookings showed three individuals at the time being held on ICE detainers: Juan Carlos Brizuela Maldonado, charged with domestic assault with bodily injury; Suniram Stan, arrested on a felony for being a fugitive from justice; and Kevin Alfredo Castro Pereira, charged with motor vehicle burglary and theft of identity.

This week, DHS announced that more than 2 million illegal aliens have left the U.S. since the beginning of the Trump administration, including 1.6 million who have voluntarily self-deported and more than 527,000 who have been arrested and subsequently deported.
