Another Robby Starbuck Win for America: Distributor of Popular Beer Brands Latest to Drop DEI Initiatives

by | Apr 9, 2025

The beer import company Constellation Brands is the latest to scale back a number of its DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) policies after being investigated by Robby Starbuck, the political commentator and filmmaker from Tennessee announced on Tuesday.

Last month, Starbuck revealed that Constellation Brands – whose brands include Modelo, Pacifico, and Corona beer – advanced and practiced “woke” initiatives in the workplace, including funding “all ages” Pride events, working with the Human Rights Campaign, donating to the illegal immigration group UnidosUS, maintaining a DEI department, and more.

“To put it mildly, Constellation Brands […] and their other brands have forgotten who their core customers are. They depend on Americans to buy their beers. It’s time to remind them who their customers are,” Starbuck said upon exposing the brand last week.

On Tuesday, Starbuck announced that after his initial post exposing Constellation Brands for its DEI initiatives, the company announced significant changes to its “woke” policies.

First, Starbuck said the company has committed to ending its practice of DEI and shift its supplier engagement to focus on all small businesses instead of diverse suppliers.

In addition, Starbuck said the company will end its relationship with the Human Rights Campaign and will no longer participate in its Corporate Equity Index social credit system and will no longer engage in lobbying for legislation that does not align with the core of their business.

Finally, Starbuck said the company has also committed to no longer using the term Latinx and moving forward providing guidance to employees on not injecting personal activism while representing the company brand.

“Companies can see that America wants sanity back. The era of wokeness is dying right in front of our eyes. The landscape of corporate America is quickly shifting to sanity and neutrality. We are the trend, not the anomaly,” Starbuck said upon announcing the developments Tuesday.

Since June 2024, Starbuck and his team have worked to expose multiple prominent American companies that push DEI initiatives in the workplace, often leading the targeted companies to publicly reverse course to avoid or respond to backlash from consumers.

In addition to Constellation Brands, Starbuck’s work has led to significant changes at companies including Tractor Supply, John Deere, Harley Davidson, Polaris, Indian Motorcycle, Lowe’s, Ford, Coors, Stanley Black & Decker, Jack Daniels, DeWalt tools, Craftsman, Caterpillar, Boeing, Toyota, Walmart, McDonald’s, META, Target, Accenture, Pepsi, Gatorade, Rockstar Energy, and AT&T.
