Roger Simon: ‘Absolutely Insane People’ Behind Attacks on Tesla

by | Mar 24, 2025

Roger Simon, the co-founder of PJ Media and author of the Substack “American Refugees,” said the individuals behind the violent attacks on Tesla vehicles and showrooms across the country are “absolutely insane” who refuse to act in a rational manner.

Tesla vehicles and showrooms across the U.S. have been targeted in recent weeks by violent attacks and protests organized by left-wing groups who oppose Elon Musk’s involvement in the Trump administration as he oversees the new U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Over the weekend in Tennessee, the leftist group Indivisible Tennessee organized protests at four Tesla showrooms across the state where participants were seen yelling at Tesla drivers and using offensive language.

Simon, a proud owner of a Tesla, said he believes the individuals vandalizing and protesting Musk’s company “don’t even think” about the consequences of their actions.

“I don’t think they even think. There’s so much rage among these people. These are people with massive personality disorders. You’re not dealing with rational people weighing the law,” Simon explained on Friday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show.

“They’re absolutely insane,” Simon added. “Their inability to even think rationally really spooks me.”

Simon also noted how the protesters are blatantly ignoring the hypocrisy surrounding their fight against Tesla – an American company making groundbreaking strides in the automotive business – and opposition to Musk, who Simon noted has not changed his values since working with the Trump administration.

“Recently, most of the automotive advancements have been made by Japan and Germany, not the U.S. But now, it came back to the U.S. and they’re trying to destroy it,” Simon said.

“The other thing that’s really weird about it is that Elon Musk, the man named most hated in the world, hasn’t changed his ideas at all when he switched from the Democratic party. He’s the same person, but they now hate him because he switched over. They don’t even think about anything,” Simon added.

Simon further said he believes the protests against Tesla will end up “hurting” the Democratic Party.

“All these crazies that are doing this are really hurting their side because most average people think they’re nuts,” Simon said.

ACLU Files Federal Lawsuit over Tennessee Redistricting

Filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, the lawsuit accuses the “all-white supermajority” in the Tennessee General Assembly of unlawfully “cracking” Memphis into three separate congressional districts in order to “dilute” the black “voting power” and eliminate black voters’ ability to elect a candidate of their choice to Congress.
