EJ Haust Puts Ukraine, Russia Negotiations Towards Peace into Perspective

by | Feb 14, 2025

EJ Haust, a digital marketing expert and official guest host of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show, analyzed the ongoing negotiations toward peace between Russia and Ukraine, framing the situation between the two countries from the perspective of Americans.

Haust analyzed after listening to U.S. Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s remarks at NATO headquarters in Munich this week, where Hegseth said the most likely deal to lead towards a peace deal rooted in “realism” will see Ukraine not joining NATO and Russia continuing to occupy territory it has already seized in Ukraine.

When it comes to the countries negotiating terms for a longstanding peace deal, specifically pointing out that Ukraine likely has to concede its wish to join NATO, Haust put the situation into perspective on Friday’s show.

“Imagine if, for example, Mexico was considered an adversary. Would we want all of the countries of NATO to side with them all the time on almost everything? I’m talking about ports, the economy, and everything else,” Haust said.

“Remember, we’re big time into regime change, or were, for quite a while…It’s not unreasonable to say that Putin has very little trust for those world powers,” Haust added.

Despite the U.S. stance on ongoing peace negotiations, United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the country remains committed to Ukraine’s being on “an irreversible path to NATO” membership.

Haust said Britain’s refusal to align with the U.S. on the Ukraine-Russia negotiations is “a really dumb” move, but noted how the European globalists want the war to continue for financial gain.

“Follow the money, you will always find the agenda…It’s the people who want to be in front of the camera and who need the money from the United States,” Haust said.

Despite Britain’s stance, Haust pointed out that other European countries do not want war.

“There’s plenty of other European countries over there that might have something to say about it also and none of them want war,” Haust said.

ACLU Files Federal Lawsuit over Tennessee Redistricting

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and its Tennessee chapter filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of a coalition of voters and Memphis-based organizations on Monday challenging Tennessee’s newly enacted congressional redistricting plan, alleging that Republican lawmakers intentionally dismantled the state’s only “black-majority” congressional district in violation of the U.S. Constitution.

Filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, the lawsuit accuses the “all-white supermajority” in the Tennessee General Assembly of unlawfully “cracking” Memphis into three separate congressional districts in order to “dilute” the black “voting power” and eliminate black voters’ ability to elect a candidate of their choice to Congress.
